Dipl.-Ing. Jörn Janecke
Dipl.-Ing. Jörn Janecke is a founding member of BLIC and Chief Executive Director since 1992. Having completed his studies as civil engineer, with an emphasis on transportation, he became an expert in design and operation of transport systems. Today, one of his core focuses is the initiation of national and international research projects for the further development of ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems). He possesses many years of in-depth experience in Europe (inter alia Austria, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg) and the Middle East (for instance Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates).
Dr.-Ing. Andreas Schrei
Dr.-Ing. Andreas Schrei joined BLIC in 1999 and became Chief Executive Director in 2001. The graduated Electrical Engineer obtained a doctorate in 1994. Having key competences in strategic assignments and corporate management as well as control of complex projects, he is an expert in ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems). Dr. Schrei has comprehensive work experience in Germany and Austria as well as the Middle East (inter alia Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates).
Dipl.-Ing. Volker Grunow
Dipl.-Ing. Volker Grunow joined BLIC in 1990, shortly after its founding (in December 1989), and became authorized representative in 1998. Nowadays the graduate engineer is responsible for the BLIC business locations in Berlin and Stuttgart as well as jointly for the company-wide strategic focus and development. Due to his long-standing work experience, such as in European countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland, his focus is on designing and moderation of fundamental decision-making processes and complex major projects, in the field of telematics in public transport.
Team
The BLIC team currently consists of about 50 people, including ‘old stagers’ with years of experience and membership of BLIC as well as young graduates with fresh ideas and unconventional thinking.
In addition, students work in the BLIC team regularly as interns and lead to a close cooperation with universities. Through the wide area of experts in the BLIC network, we are also able to strengthen our team precisely to the needs of projects and tasks.
