Real-time data systems / hubs

Expanding horizon

Your passengers also travel longer distances, for example, for shopping in the next big city and change the trains? Or go out of town for a weekend getaway in the countryside, first by train and then by bus?

You operate joint lines with neighboring companies or driving in adjacent operating areas?

Your operating area is not limited to the transport association, in which you are located? You use your passengers in the neighboring composite and there have ensure appropriate connections?

You serve your passengers in the neighboring association and have to ensure appropriate connections?

In these and many other situations not only information must be available from the own environment for passenger information and operation control, but also from the neighboring businesses. Only then you can supply your passengers during transfers with the latest information (“the outgoing bus is waiting”) and make this announcement by dispositive statement.

These systems must be networked, to enable a fully automated data exchange and subsequent processing.

For this purpose there are standardized interfaces from VDV for a long time and more recently at the EU / CEN level specified and in daily use.

Depending on the application this can be done either bilaterally networking between two partners or – in several participating companies and systems – a central instance (data hub) represent the best technical and economical solution.

BLIC has co-developed the specifications for data exchange interfaces from the beginning and was as well actively involved in the concept of centralized data hubs.

Therefore we advise you in the design as well as in issues for optimal data exchange with firsthand knowledge.

And if things are going badly, we analyze and resolve the difficulties together with the suppliers of the systems involved.
