results from the tests of the Environment-oriented Traffic Management System in Braunschweig presented
On the ITS World Congress in Bordeaux in October 2015 Mr. Thiesing from BLIC presented the brand new results from the tests of the Environment-oriented Traffic Management System in Braunschweig.
During a pilot operation of the UVM System in June and July 2015 on a critical section of the ring road it was shown that a significant reduction of NO2 pollution can be achieved with traffic management measures developed and prepared in advance.
Those measures target on control of traffic flow and traffic volume, while the intensity of the intervention and the time duration each can be adapted to the current situation of pollution.
